Our Qualifications

James E. Biddle, for the past 24 years, has been the owner, President and Chief Executive Officer of The Securities Center, Inc., a FINRA broker/dealer in Chula Vista, CA. He is a Registered Securities Principal, Government Securities Principal, Municipal Securities Principal, Financial and Operations Principal and holds life and disability and variable contracts licenses, with a total of 34 years in the industry.  He is currently Executive Vice President of the National Association of Independent Broker/Dealers, Inc. (NAIBD) . Before owning The Securities Center he served in senior management capacities with two major national brokerage firms. In 1978 he was President of the San Diego Chapter of the International Association for Financial Planning (IAFP). During 1979-82 he served on the national board of director's of the IAFP. Mr. Biddle has a bachelor's degree in business administration from The Ohio State University (1964) and a degree in operations research/systems analysis from the Naval Postgraduate School (1971). He has been active in a wide range of civic activities in the San Diego area including having been President of: the Chula Vista Jaycees, Chula Vista Chamber of Commerce, and the Rotary Club of Chula Vista (Rotary). He is also currently serving on the Advisory Board of the Friends of Vista Hill Foundation (Vista Hill) , is a member of the San Diego Alumni Chapter of The Ohio State University (Buckeyes) , is a current member of the Foundation Advisory Board of Sharp Chula Vista Medical Center, and has been active in the South Bay Family YMCA's Current Support Campaign for over 27 years (YMCA) . Mr. Biddle served nine years as a U.S. Naval Officer with two tours of duty in South Vietnam.
